Left Bank Brasserie to Host a Book Passage/Cooks with Books Event with Melissa Clark
Left Bank Brasserie in Larkspur, in association with Book Passage bookstore’s Cooks with Books program, will host a dinner on Sunday, April 19 with Melissa Clark, author of the newly released Dinner in French: My Recipes by Way of France. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $130.00 per person which includes the meal, wine, tax, gratuity and a signed copy of the new publication. The dinner’s menu will be based on recipes from Dinner in French. Advance reservations are required and can be made via https://www.bookpassage.com/melissaclark.
The event kicks off with a book signing, followed by a sit-down meal. Guests will have the chance to talk with Clark, one of the nation's foremost cookbook authors and food writers, who has now updated classic French dishes and techniques to reflect how we eat today. She fell in love with French food as a child because her parents spent vacations traversing the country in search of premier meals. As her own culinary identity blossomed, so too did her understanding of why French food is beloved by Americans. Today Clark is a staff writer for the New York Times Food section and a podcaster and has been the winner of multiple James Beard and IACP awards.
