An evening with Ross MacLeod
Prepare to be amazed at the interesting geology right where we live and ride– it will be an evening of rock-solid fun and education. Ross is a lively and entertaining speaker and he’ll be rockin’ it at the museum on Thursday, May 30th. His presentation will be part geologic time machine and part local history and will include lots of photos on the big screen. Ross describes himself as “a long-standing Marin explorationist, marveling at the local terrain, on bike or on foot.” Join us as we travel with Ross on a photographic journey through the Marin landscape and learn about the rocks underneath our feet. Bring all your nagging metamorphic questions for the Q&A afterwards.
A Geology Ride tour (dare we say a “gravel ride”?) with Ross will happen on Sunday, June 9th, ride details and start location to be announced. This will be a free, no-drop, easy ride and will be great for ages approximately 12 and up. Hope you can join us!
Tickets to the speaker series evening are $10 per adult ($5 for students and Marin Museum of Bicycling members). Tickets can be purchased in advance at the museum (11-5 Thursdays-Sundays) and online at mmbhof.org. Our Speaker Series events often sell out; there may be some tickets at the door the evening of the event. Advance purchase is recommended. All proceeds benefit the Marin Museum of Bicycling. Not a member yet? Joining or renewing is easy at mmbhof.org. We hope to see you Thursday, May 30th. Doors open at 6:15 PM and refreshments will be available. Be sure to arrive early to get a seat and bring your tickets for faster check-in. Thank you!
**** Online ticket sales end at 5:00 PM the day of the show. Tickets will still be available at the door until showtime on a first-come, first-served basis unless/until the show is sold out. Please arrive before 6:30 PM to have the best chance to get a seat. ****
